House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) quipped Wednesday that it would be nice if Mitt Romney was president.
"Wouldn’t be nice if he were president of the United States?” she asked during a Los Angeles Times event, according to the Boston Globe.
In 2015, Pelosi said she hoped Romney would be the GOP's presidential nominee because she didn't think he had any chance of defeating Hillary Clinton.
During a 2015 interview with The Hill, Pelosi was asked if she thought Romney had any shot at defeating Clinton in 2016.
“No, no. I mean, he might be a nice person — no offense, no offense — [but] let’s save you time,” she said.
“Let me put it this way — I hope he’s their nominee,” Pelosi said.

I admit I was late jumping on the Trump train, but have been fully on board since he went to Mexico before the election. I knew that day that he would win, and couldn't be more thankful.
Maybe if the Democrats hadn’t treated Romney so bad in 2012, he’d be serving his second term and Trump would be living in Australia.
