Main Street Patriots are rallying fellow citizens to show their support across the United States for the American flag and the national anthem on Veterans Day weekend as a way to send a message about the importance of standing and saluting during the playing of the national anthem at NFL football games.
The conservative group is encouraging Americans to join their Flags Across America movement next month.
I have watched professional football since the time there were two separate leagues AFL and NFL in the late 60s, Debbie Dooley, co-founder of the group told Breitbart News. Sports has always been an arena where we are united in support of our favorite teams.
We are not Democrats or Republicans, we are simply fans, Dooley said, adding that the NFL players are seeking to change that by attempting to shove their political views down the throats of fans.

Just boycott the bastards from now through the Super Bowl!
Colin, thanks to you as a BLM/NFL useless idiot, you woke Americans up to the NFL scam on our tvs and in our tax payer stadiums. Your contribution to Americans will be remembered, like 8 years of Obama and H. Clintoon's campaigning gave us President Trump!
NFL = NEW FAR LEFT!
More NFL teams renamed: Oakland Traitors, Baltimore Cravens, Buffalo Bolsheviks, Green Bay Pinkos, Washington Red Guards, Los Angeles Chekists, Jacksonville Jacobins.
The Dallas Cowgirl Pussies!
The NFL will never again appear on my television or in a restaurant where I am willing to eat. Why limit patriotism to one weekend a year?
Don’t boycott them on one weekend. Just walk away.
Permanently.
I did last year, when Krapperdick started his shenanigans.
I get more time at the range now.
It’s awesome.
This is fine- but to be really effective- more and more people need to drop their subscription to espn for 6 months or a year or so- and explain to the cable/dish companies why they are dropping their subscription-
This is why we need a powerful organization like the tea party started to become- to organize enough people to boycott that these organizations like nfl, nba etc get the message loud and clear that we the people will not tolerate unamerican crap like the nfl is pulling-
The reason the nfl isn’t backing down is because not enough people have committed to boycotting their disrespectful ignorant protest of our police forces who put their lives on the line every day across this nation of our- They are disrespecting our armed forces, those who gave their lives for this country- and those who serve and protect every day!
Soem folks have dropped their sport’s packages, and that’s great- but we need to do so collectively, and in large enough numbers that it really hurts the purses of those who disrespect this country and are turning a national past-time into an ignorant political activism agenda-
We are going to have to kill the NFL to save it—unfortunate but true.
How about killing it by starting something like a “Patriots League” from all the players who are pro military and police.
Trump is a master of branding, maybe someone could suggest it to him.
I only acknowledged the indisputable fact that you provide material support for the players and their protests. I said nothing beyond that. If you are OK with that, it’s your life. I don’t care. But you seem really touchy about it. Hmmm...
Yeah ok no.
Have the NFL’s antics pissed you off because you’re an American?
THEN BOYCOTT EVERY G-D GAME NOT JUST ONE!
You shouldn’t be patronizing these POS teams on ANY day!
WTFH????
Yes, keep rewarding them. They desperately need addicts like you.
This conservative says totally divorce yourself completely from from the NFL. One game is a totally weak response. The NFL is complicit in far more than just disrespecting this nation. They are complicit of tearing away at the very fabric of this nation that makes it stand as singularly unique.
George Soros does not want us watching football. I am going to watch football.
Me too... always had more interest in college football anyway.
