George W. Bush: 'Bigotry seems emboldened' in US
The Hill ^ | October 19, 2017 | Rebecca Savransky

Posted on 10/19/2017 9:13:39 AM PDT by GuavaCheesePuff

Former President George W. Bush said Thursday that "bigotry seems emboldened" in the modern U.S. He also warned that the U.S. needs to accept "globalization" and reject "white supremacy."

He criticized the “governing class” without specifically mentioning President Trump.

"Discontent deepened and sharpened partisan conflicts" in recent years, he observed during a speech for the George W. Bush Institute. "Bigotry seems emboldened. Our politics seem more vulnerable to conspiracy theories and outright fabrication."

Bush is scared of something, otherwise he has no reason for coming out.

The entire Bush Crime Syndicate is deeply concerned about the potential release of JFK documents, given H.W.'s still-unexplained actions that fateful day.

He’s right. But it’s not Trump’s fault. Obama got this ball rolling.

And Trump was the ONLY person who showed the right how to battle against progressive evil, by speaking out against it. By challenging it head on, and calling it like he sees it. He speaks for everyday Americans, who've been insulted and told lies for the past 8 years. We've stewed, as the Obama administration told us that our foundational system of law, order and decency were considered "racist" and had to change.

I always thought President Bush to be an honorable man, perhaps TOO Much a gentleman, a little afraid of soiling the waters by playing hardball with his political opponents. These remarks, if in context and true, will only give fodder to opponents of Trump.

What an idiot, the media and dems attacked him all through his presidency, he never fought back. Now he is on the side of the same people that attacked him.

Um, no. He was always on the globalist side. His crew just hoodwinked millions of the ignorant and easily led into voting for these globalist screw worms.

A predictable consequence of electing a meritless guy simply because he was black. It showed the idea of promotion based solely on race to be incompatible with American values.

Agreed.
The Forgotten Man is now talking. We’re tired of the Compromise that costs us more and more while the ‘Progressives’ never give up their gains. The Elitists cannot hear us.

Agreed. Then why didn’t W speak up - loudly - when Obama was in office? Why did he wait until now? I’ll tell you why. Because W wanted to damage Trump. He did not want to damage Obama.

And that speaks volumes as to who W really is.

Hey George: Shut up and paint.

We dragged your sorry @ss across the finish line twice to save the country, and you and Rove threw it away during your second term.

We don’t want to hear ANYTHING from you, your abortion loving wife, and your two liberal daughters anymore.

Imagine giving 2,700 bucks to Bush in March of 2000. Think instead if you would have bought 166 shares of Lockheed Martin stock at 16.18 cents and forgot about it.
Today it would be worth about 52,000 bucks.

Never give money to a politician.
