Update on the Lynn coffeeshop whose manager vowed to never host “coffee with a cop” because cops are murderers who shouldn’t be “humanized,” only to be fired by her own mother for destroying the business…….
Source: Less than a week after controversial comments about police from the daughter of a Central Square coffee shop owner went viral, the one-year-old shop is closing.
“I’ve lost my business and I’ve lost my daughter … I don’t know how this story just keeps building, but I need people to leave me alone,” said Kato Mele, owner of the White Rose Coffeehouse. “I’m closing my business so I can stop being harassed.”
Leave the word roses out of it perhaps...but include a few black and white roses in a new logo.
Put in black and white checkerboard flooring tiles...sell ice-cream in the evenings if nearby movie houses, or else near the kind of neighborhood where people (moderately wealthy, solidly comfortable) may like to go out late for ice-cream.
Always give LEO, firefighters and first responders a 15% discount on all food and beverages.
The benefits totally out weigh the loss in revenue.

Kind of a miniature NFL story. Abuse the interests of your customers and they can go elsewhere.
I don't think this is what they mean when experts say most restaurants close within the 1st year.

I also seen people work hard all their lives to build fine businesses only to have their inheritors to only care about spending the money while turning control over to soulless MBAs with resulting degradation of the business.
