Its safe to say, that when NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell wrote a memo to the league informing them it was time to move past the anthem controversy. Most people thought he meant moving past it by ending the protests, and, as a result, ending the controversy. However, a disturbing nugget of information from todays meeting suggests that Goodell might have meant something else entirely.

This is part of the reason I will never support professional football in any form or fashion. They just do not get it.

Then they went for the jugular with the anthem protests. And it could’ve been stopped right away. Stamped out immediately. But the owners caved an that was it. And they still don’t get it. Your die hard fans who shovel billions of dollars down your throat have listed their demands. We’re not asking for much.

People had pride in their individual teams.
Not so much anymore. I served while they played football.
They are millionaires for their work, I am an airman.
They disrespect what teaches me what it takes to have a Country, I will show them what it takes to lose a past-time.
