Virginia Republican gubernatorial candidate Ed Gillespie took the lead over Democrat candidate Ralph Northam, according to a new poll from Monmouth University released on Tuesday.

A new poll from Monmouth University revealed that Virginians favor Ed Gillespie over Ralph Northam. The latest survey stated that if the vote were held today, 48 percent would vote for Ed Gillespie, while 47 percent would vote for Ralph Northam. This poll represents an upswing in support for Ed Gillespie. A survey released earlier in October had Ed Gillespie five points behind Ralph Northam, well within the poll’s 5.5 percent margin of error.

Corey Stewart would be running away from Northam right now but NOVA didn’t want a non Establishment candidate in the primaries.

Nobody listens to the media. They have lost cred. Not going to vote. No more RINOs. No more.

Not entirely. But most people don’t know what to look at.

Don’t watch the absolute numbers; watch the trend line.

Gillespie will have no effect on Trumps agenda whatsoever as Governor of Virginia except to hold back the expansion of Obamacare which Northam will support. Corey Stewart will run for Senate and Ed won’t if he is governor.

Mostly those small (l)ibertarians from the west.

I hate to break it to you, but President Reagan, Vice President Cheney, Sarah Palin and Steve Bannon were/are not libertarians, small L or otherwise. Perhaps you mean classical liberal, which is what most modern conservatives actually are? Leftists usurped the "liberal" term even though they are the most illiberal of people.

I will because I know, “perfection is the enemy of good” and “the only thing necessary for evil to succeed is for good men to do nothing.”

Yea, that Fox senate poll had me worried a bit. But we all know who good the polls were last november.

Vote. Go ahead. I can’t do it. Those punks in Nova wanted him let them drag this creep over the line.

Think of all the appointments the governor will make in four years. You can honestly say you don’t care if Ralph is making them instead of Ed?

I can honestly say that in the morning after the election I will still have my self respect.

You vote. Do it.

If polls put a Republic ahead, you know the Rep. is WAY ahead. Polls invariably favor Dems, there are almost no honest polls.

Libertarianism is basically social anarchy and hedonism combined with low taxes in a strange utopian mix that pretends it’s somehow “conservative”.

How about Jill Vogel, John Adams? You aren’t voting in those races? No school board seats? Dogcatchers? If you support any of those candidates you can surely bring yourself to check one extra box?!

I will be voting for Vogel, Adams and Whitlock for delegate, but I haven’t decided what I’ll do for Gov.
central va is right, Amnesty Ed is everything I hate about the GOPe. He is now saying how tough he’ll be on illegal aliens when he has always been for amnesty.
I had to do two stiff shots to hold my nose for Romney, I could not vote for McAmnesty.
