It would be very interesting to know which groups have the most/least degree of participation in the military. Breakout by branch, service and whether they’ve been deployed to a hazardous fire area would be interesting.

Breakout of branch and era of service.

Vietnam veterans, my group, are stereotyped as drug addicted and PTSD plagued social dropouts.

In reality, we are better educated, healthier, use less drugs, are more economically comfortable and are more engaged in successful long term family relationships than our non-veteran peer group.

Speaking for my circle of friends that are vets, we are 100% Trump supporters because traditional American values are our most important criteria.

By branch I meant active/reserve. By service...and I should have used the word component...I meant Army, Navy, etc. I think military service tends to result in more patriotic citizens as they age. The vast majority of those men I know who served look back on it as a positive experience.
