Obamatard would rather be at the golf course than pretend he loves the military. Even his ugly wife was honest to say that she WAS NOT PROUD OF HER COUNTRY.
As you surely know, this isn’t about “responsibility”.
Trump is proven right again.
When my brother was wounded in Afghanistan, I was contacted by the Medical Center Hospital Commander personally.
The Commander came onto the Floor I was working on and told me personally that my brother had been hurt and that if I needed to go and see him to let him know and he would make sure that my leave was expedited.
That was a very kind thing for the commander to do and I have not forgotten that.
The liberal press did.
I read once the George W. Bush wrote a personal letter to each family of a serviceman killed in action.
It’s a nice tradition but certainly not a requirement of the POTUS. Imagine if Roosevelt or Truman tried that. It would have been impossible for even Johnson.
Roosevelt would have had to write a letter or hold one phone conversation every six minutes to keep up with the death notifications during WWII. No time off for sleep or potty breaks. Maybe he died of writers cramp.
The former occupier couldn’t be bothered with the hero son of a hero but was more than eager to parade the moonbat parents of Bowe Berghdal around the Rose Garden.
Agreed. There were over 58,000 killed in Vietnam and no president could call all of those families.
While President Trump has many good qualities, one of his least admirable traits is the tendency to cast everything he does as being bigger, better, or more virtuous than anyone else.
Your words ring loud & clear, bursting with 100% truth, Barack Hussein Obama & Michelle Obama are both America haters from head to toe!!!
The truth is something we may not always want to hear or speak...but, the truth is still always the truth.
It’s possible that my time in the Corps caused me to value the lives of the young men we lost more than you seem to.
Many of them were friends of mine - and they gave all they had to give for this country. Yes, I think the President should call the family of those killed in action. It’s little enough. What did you think - they should just take the check and re-read the telegram? You must never have led troops or maybe had kids of your own.
After all he’s alive and they’re not. Though, I have to admit I wouldn’t like taking a call from Obama - because I wouldn’t believe him.
I am very sorry for the lose of the son of Gen.John Kelly.
What the Hell is that supposed to mean? I have lost Marines in my command and attended their funerals. Loved them as brothers and remember them to this day. What makes you believe that I do not value their lives?
You're the one criticizing the President for calling their families. He's got better things to do?
Obama spent more time with Bowe Bergdahl’s family than with any other military family.
Nonetheless, all of those 58,000 men were precious to their families; they weren't Kleenex to just be expended and forgotten. Maybe if the President was required to express condolences to the families for each death, there wouldn't be as much wanton waste of life. He'd have been really busy during the weeks of Operations Hastings and Prairie and during the battle of Hue City.
I still visit the families of the friends I lost in Vietnam.
What makes a general’s son more special than a son of a janitor?
It ain’t me, it ain’t me, I ain’t no General’s son....
You’re right, POTUS should contact all parents.
I did no such thing. I am simply no going to fault him for not calling.
Remember that one? How should have we interpreted that statement? I am proud that Donald Trump sees it has his duty to speak to the next of kin of the fallen.
