Donald Trump: Wall Funding Will Be Part of DACA Deal with Democrats
Breitbart - Big Government ^ | 10-17-2017 | Charlie Spiering

President Donald Trump restated his support for wall funding, telling reporters on Monday that it would be part of any deal with Democrats to legalize illegal immigrants brought to the United States as children.

“We need a wall in this country. You know it, I know it, everybody knows it,” Trump said during a press conference with Mitch McConnell on Monday. “We need a wall and that will be part of it.”

Trump was asked by ABC’s Jon Karl if he would insist that wall funding would be part of a deal with Democrats to provide a solution for DACA recipients.

The president pointed out that Mexico was “not doing particularly well” on stopping drugs and illegal immigration from coming into the United States, which was why it was a priority.

He’s going to trade something he never seriously believed he could get done—deporting Dreamers—for something he really wants—the wall. It’s a brilliant deal if he can make it happen.
>

Whoa, boy, what a cop-out! “Believes he could get done”? It’s his FRIGGIN JOB to enforce the Law of the Land (IE: find & deport).

If that’s something he’s unwilling to do, he’s in the wrong office.

The Wall/Fence...Prototypes are being built on the border as we speak. When finished, they will be inspected and tested in many categories as to their effectiveness.

In other words, preparations are in progress for various walls along the border. Some may be more conducive to the terrain an/or location than others.

DACA is dead. We need a better defined immigration policy and a way to deal with the 800,000.

Clarify that if you came here illegally, your children are NOT citizens if they were born here.

At current rates it won’t matter. Ds are hemorrhaging voters, down 100k in “Hizpanic” states FL, AZ, NM, NV just since NOVEMBER. Whoever is here are becoming Republicans...+300,000 in 12 battleground states in 9 months.

Great. When they're done and in place we can start talking about DACA.

In other words, preparations are in progress for various walls along the border. Some may be more conducive to the terrain an/or location than others.

I agree with this too. When everything is in place we can start talking about DACA.

With some stipulations about never being a citizen, never being able to vote, I'd be willing to talk about what to do with DACA after the wall is built.

Before the ink is dry on any agreement, the dems will have a judge declare that ending chain immigration is unconstitutional. Never trust the dems to enforce any part of an agreement they don’t like.

You’re right. Trump will get major concessions for DACA which is a winning position for the Democrats like it or not.

But some people here on FR always assume the worst.

Go Trump go!

Not saying I agree with it (I don’t!) just saying that’s how I believe he thinks. He’s a big picture guy, a deal maker, a compromiser, by nature. That’s how he’s always operated in business. He’s not an ideologue.

Prototypes under construction NOW in S. California. Wanna see them? Go to http://www.nbclosangeles.com/news/politics/Border-Wall-Prototypes-Under-Construction-in-California-450499383.html

The correct order is ready, aim, fire. Trump knows construction.

Carter and a wall? No wonder we can’t get a wall. History is forgotten.

If he knows construction, then why isn’t he doing it? Instead he is committing to a Daca deal. Every inch of the wall must be complete before a deal? Why not?
Do dems deal, no.. they just do whatever they want.
Daca is not construction, it is amnesty.

“If he knows construction, then why isn’t he doing it?”

He IS doing it. Did you follow the link? Or do you think it is wise to start a multi-billion dollar project prior to full due diligence? As far as DACA is concerned your personal timeline is cute, but non-binding to the Trump administration. The negotiations involving DACA and other issues are progressing but as of now it is DEAD. Thanks Pres. Trump. The prototypes are being built on schedule. Thanks again. NAFTA renegotions? Thanks a third time.

Which part don’t you agree with? 1) It’s a ‘non-starter’ in his mind (a biz-man who lives/dies by the hand-shake\promise) a/o 2) He’s derelict in his positional duties (it’s his JOB)?

Sorry, but running for office is all ABOUT ‘ideologue’. The whole premise is “A, B, C is what *I* think should be done to better X, Y, Z.” He sure didn’t need to run to suck off the public teet.

I disagree with allowing Dreamers to stay, but I’m willing to wait to see how things turn out before killing him.

Lol.. I guess we will see.. history says this deal will not build a wall. It will grant amnesty... maybe worse. Thanks.. I love cuteness!
He is a fool and so is everyone else if every inch of the wall isn’t complete before amnesty. History repeating.
When I’m proven right, what will you say then? After your kids, grandchildren and their children are all last in line. We are taking in45 Thousand rapefugees each year. So you can add those to your amnesty figures.

“When I’m proven right, what will you say then?”

You will have to be proven right first dearie. You have a far greater confidence in your fortune telling abilities than do I!

I personally am more optimistic on this subject than I have been in several decades.
