Regulators worry about power poles that may pose future wildfire hazard

Pacific Gas and Electric Co. officials revealed Monday that they have officially notified state regulators of eight separate electric equipment failures in the recent North Bay firestorm – but declined to detail what triggered them.

“Since Sunday’s windstorm, the company has submitted eight electric incident reports related to damaged facilities to the CPUC,’’ the company said in a statement late Monday, which stresses the utility will “support and assist with the review of these wildfires by the appropriate regulatory agencies…” “
