It depends on the church.

Correct. Many churches I’m familiar with stick with biblical morality.

As an example, a few years ago, a friend of mine told me that he and his fiancé slipped up one time and she was pregnant.

She was afraid to go to church on the day that he was planning to stand up and confess his sin. I told him that while I hadn’t been going to that church too long, I suspected that as he said it, there would be a sharp intake of collective breath but the final outcome would be that the women of the church would wrap their arms around her and forgive her.

That’s exactly what happened. It’s not acceptance of the sin, but forgiveness and reconciliation.

Fast forward several years to a guy who had an affair. He was called out and urged to repent. I believe he has but has not returned to the church (yet)

I have a friend whose church is having a similar issue right now and they are not accepting it nor turning a blind eye.
