As my kids have said, “Poor people mess everything up”. Let me explain: there use to be field trips. Wonderful field trips to battlefields, aquariums, and historic sites. No more. Why? Because the PTA couldn’t afford to give “scholarships” to the poor kids. If school X had a field trip then all the other schools in the county had to have a similar one (therefore, the “middle class” schools couldn’t go because the ratchet schools couldn’t afford it). Thus, this district’s school is now eliminating an event that all the kids looked forward to because some parents are too lazy to make one or purchase a used one.

At our kids’ school, the nurse’s office had extra clothes. I would donate items and even prom dresses. There’s no reason other special event items can’t be available if they’re worried about lazy parents.
