Sekulow’s band is pretty good, Their cover of CS&N’s “Suite:Judy Blue Eyes” is great also. As you said, it’s a bit unexpected to hear he and his gang rock out. Thanks.

“It was written by Steve Winwood and performed when he was with the Spencer Davis band”

Thanks, I’m glad my 60s music memory wasn’t failing me!

“Little Stevie Windwood was 14 when they recorded it.”

Back in the day when you mostly heard the artists on radio unless they were on a TV show, I thought the Spencer Davis Group were black. Real blue-eyed soul sound there, for sure.

Tommy James was about the same age as Winwood when he recorded “Hanky Panky”. Alex Chilton, the Box Tops singer, was 16-17 when they had a hit with “The Letter”.

Meanwhile, my garage band got no respect!

“First tune I ever learned to play was Steel Guitar Rag”

My first country tunes were “I Walk The Line” and “Wildwood Flower”, being we listened to the Carter/Cash family music a lot in at our place and I was a fan of the Man In Black.

Had a friend who was classmates with Chilton. Said Chilton slept through class his senior year. The law was he HAD to attend.

Think it still is law most everywhere - you have to attend school up to a certain age.

Chilton’s one of those artists whose work influenced a lot of musicians but isn’t that well known to the general public.

Most people didn’t know that they heard one of his songs (”In The Street”) every week if they watched “That 70s Show”.

Absolutely nailed it.

Cool. Russian dad rock.

I prefer this:

Время и Стекло - На Стиле

Why are we supposed to hate them again? Oh yeah, they're so different from us.

I love that song.

Winwood is very talented and I’ve enjoyed his music for a long time. He seems like one of the more “stable” musicians from his era, decent family man.
