Agreed, but that doesn't seem to stop people from lecturing how easy it is to obtain them. The usual suggestions end up being to purchase the episodes. Assuming I were willing to wait until the season was over, it would still cost $30 to purchase all episodes of just Homicide Hunter for the current season (Seven) on Amazon. And I still wouldn't truly own the copies. Just a handful of shows, and that option adds up the cost quite quickly.
How do you do that except with satellite? We can’t have a satellite dish because we live in a rental.
I meant similar programs on the net. One needs just be innovative. No insult intended. You want to pay, you pay.

This week or very recently, ROKU added it’s own channel. I fiddled with just yesterday and it has some pretty good movies for free. Free except for commercials that is.
Of interest to me was the quality of the companies .......big time companies. Coke, GEICO, Quicken loan.
The Roku channel has definite possibilities as it comes up to speed

Not much to figure out. In order to watch online, or via a smartphone app, I have to sign in to my DirecTV account.
