She was later diagnosed with flesh-eating disease, and has since undergone multiple surgeries, including amputations below both of her elbows and knees and a total hysterectomy.

Such medical negligence is not restricted to hospitals that operate under socialized medicine. Such horrible outcomes are still rare but with the rise of antibiotic resistant bacteria the risk is greater than in the past.

I personally wouldn’t wish such a serious disease on someone for making a joke...whether I thought it was funny or not.
At least many of the hospitals and medical personnel are dirty now. Much has changed.
PS...Not that me saying it will make it happen just as his joke is irrelevant to the woman’s plight. But I just don’t think it’s good to be putting that kind of thing out there in the air. Anyway, that’s just me. I know we are not all the same.
His joke is not irrelevant, it is inhuman. If he finds suffering funny, maybe he should be the butt of his own jokes for idiots online and see how funny it is. That was my point. I don’t find humor in other people’s pain; he does, apparently.
