My admiration of Gloria Estafan has tanked.
I’ve been trying to point her betrayal of capitalist ideas and freedom for a while here on FR.
For many years she used her Cuban heritage as a way to get support in south Florida. She pretended to be angry at the abuse of the Cuban people by Fidel Castro. I believe she even allied herself with the “Ladies in White”, a group of peaceful Catholic women who spoke out for civil liberties.
Now, she is known for doing fundraisers for Obama, promoting same sex marriage in the cancelled TV show “Glee” and recording some stupid Trump bashing song with her husband called “We’re all Mexicans now”.
A real fall from decency.
