I thought Grassely had the final say on this and said that there would be no change in the procedure?
“I thought Grassely had the final say on this and said that there would be no change in the procedure?”
I heard that too, so which is it?
That is, in essence, what I heard over the last day or two.
THE most critical thing that Turtleman McConnell needs to do now is to simply speed up the voting on Trumps judicial nominees. If that means keeping the Senate is session 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with no go back to the district recesses, McConnell needs to do it. Make the RATS do the 30 hours of unneeded debate, that they insist upon for each nominee, during the dead of night.
Grassley said he would not change the policy.
This is from ACLJ which is a little slow on the take and I am being generous. They have been fooled by McConnell’s sleight of hand.
Grassley announced today he ain’t changing jack. ACLJ didn’t connect the dots to that.
Listen for the sound of the confirmation votes, not the current jibber jabber.
I don’t see how either of them can do it without a majority vote to change the rules.
Don’t believe anything you read and you will save yourself a lot of grief.
People around here take any hint of bad news and proceed to go nuts, most the time those hints are complete lies.
