Nearly 100 pastors and community leaders plan to hold a “Kneel-In” protest outside Bank of America Stadium before the start of the Carolina Panthers-Philadelphia Eagles NFL football game on Thursday night.
The protest intends to highlight ongoing police brutality and social and racial injustice, just as former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick did while the national anthem was played before a 2016 NFL game, Bishop Kevin Long of Temple Church International-Charlotte told the Observer.
“These things have yet to be properly addressed in our judicial system and the like,” Long said.

Honestly, I’m okay with this. If they want to hold a demonstration in support of their cause, they are welcome to do so. It’s their right under the Constitution. I’m glad they don’t seem to be doing it in a way that blatantly disrespects our flag or our anthem.
It’s also my right to think they are uninformed and misguided fools (at best), but that’s neither here nor there.
Marie Antoinette would go straight over their heads but antebellum hoop skirts would probably work.

Blocking the parking lot entrance would be even better!
As long as they have the proper permits, paid parking, and generally in compliance with the law, etc.
What if they held a “Knee-In”, and no one came? LOL.

I would like to think that THIS would be the straw that breaks my husband’s back (he’s an Eagles fan who hasn’t stopped watching NFL), but alas I don’t think it will be. I won’t be watching.
