Yup, I totally agree with you! Youth football has been around in my area since the 1960s. My sons played and I coached youth football and we taught the kids proper tackling and blocking techniques, such as not leading with your head, which is the biggest causes of head injuries.
Like the global warming hoax, this is about behavior control and money.
1. Who is paying for all these studies and who is benefiting?
2. Lawyers are recruiting former players for massive lawsuits.
3. Brain Trauma symptoms can easily be manipulated for lawsuit purposes. Anyone can claim to be confused.
4. Why wouldn’t a former player join the lawsuit? Most are bitter that current players are making much more money than they ever did. This is their final chance to cash in.
We did not have Pop warner yet (early 1950s), but my grade school had a football team, for seventh and eighth graders. They played a 7 or 8 game schedule, mostly against high school freshman teams. Only a few grade schools had teams.
