I believe it was during the administration of the Roosevelts...maybe Teddy
that all these "team namings" came about. It was an attempt to preserve their heritage.
Indians have tried to undo it. Silly savages!!
I see Canada is years ahead of the USA in the rush to destroy itself.

Wayne Campbell: So, do you come to Milwaukee often?
Alice Cooper: Well, I'm a regular visitor here, but Milwaukee has certainly had its share of visitors. The French missionaries and explorers were coming here as early as the late 1600s to trade with the Native Americans.
Pete: In fact, isn't "Milwaukee" an Indian name?
Alice Cooper: Yes, Pete, it is. Actually, it's pronounced "mill-e-wah-que" which is Algonquin for "the good land."
Wayne Campbell: I was not aware of that. Does this guy know how to party or what?
"WE ARE NOT WORTHY!
(You may now return to your regularly scheduled thread!)
I may just have to go there, then...:)

Oh, and also that Toronto is run by idiots.
