Does HIPAA cover a pharmacist speaking generically (so to speak)? He didnt name any person or give personally identifying information. There are 535 Congressthings and 100 Senators and thousands of staffers. It’s a small city unto itself, so I doubt anyone could (or in this case would) bring any kind of complain or charges. But they can stop using his shop. I honestly can’t imagine why he’d say anything like that.

He's absolutely free to talk about the types of patients he serves, without mentioning names or specific identifying information. 'HIPAA' cannot prevent that.

Not the best business sense, though. He should have kept his mouth shut. He sounds like he's got (or had) a lucrative practice.

BTW, if I told you the number of medical professionals I have filled psychiatric medications for, you'd freak.

"Yes. HIPAA Act."

What part of HIPAA did he violate?
