I would hardly call a 2 week vacation a “punishment”. IF she were a White Guy, you know that “You’re Fired” would be the reality.
They should really just put White People Are Bad as the headline for every article.
Sorry but most people don’t agree with her or even want to hear her speak. When she appears, the channel gets changed. That is the reality when networks hire people who relish and take pleasure in insulting their audience. They lose viewers, sponsors and money.

You see, if you were properly educated you would understand that your right to speak freely, protected within the first amendment, only ensures that the government cannot lock you up for what you say or write (even if it is as stupid as this column is). Which means that you would have never written anything this stupid. You would have known that first amendment DOES NOT and NEVER DID prevent a private company (like your employer for example) from punishing you for saying stupid and/or offensive things or really, engaging in any activity that may cost your boss a nickel he does not feel like losing.
The beautiful thing about this nation is that even if an employer fires you for excessive dumba$$ery or you decide one fine morning that you have had enough of whitey’s oppression and quit, you are free to find an employer that embraces idiocy. Like the DNC. Or New York Times. Maybe even the Seattle Seahawks...
The NFL's sponsors are the ones who buy advertising time on ESPN.

Actually, race may have to do with what happened. After all white former athlete Curt Schilling got fired (not suspended) from ESPN for expressing his first amendment rights...

These protests won't end until everyone in charge of anything is stripped of their authority.This SJW movement is about throwing off ALL rules of order. Small businesses are being sued into compliance. For profit "blue chip" corporate offices mostly haven't been affected yet lest the Dow Jones Index collapse, but the time will come when the universities can no longer produce qualified employees.
Shareholder-driven companies cannot withstand a non-conforming workforce of entitled youth who rebel against merit-based seniority-driven hierarchies of authority.
This author is rejecting the authority of the management at ESPN to exercise workforce discipline. Ms. Hill was warned once about making statements that reflect poorly on ESPN, yet she repeated the behavior. Instead of chastising Hill for not following the directives of her boss, the author is accusing the boss of misbehavior on the assumption that workers should be free to behave as they wish with no workplace boundaries.

I am so sick of you whiney, snivveling, self perceived victims. Just leave the Country and go somewhere more suitable to your liking, Nigeria, SOmalia, ZImbabwe, All these African countries would love to have you back.
But until then, I will exercise my White Privilege and do what I can to not patronize the establishments and services of Self Described Black Victims.
The fact that the writer (and others like him) can say such a thing without batting an eye while simultaneously demanding that whites (or other "oppressors") get permission from them before exercising their First Amendment rights shows just how blind the Left is.
