Air-chilled chicken is definitely worth the extra money you might pay for it. I don’t pinch pennies when it comes to what I put in my body. Whole Foods has an excellent selection of air-chilled chicken but you can find it in most larger supermarkets these days.

Thanks for the feedback. I’m not sure if “air chilled” means anything more than air chilling your bird in the refrigerator overnight will lead to a crispier skin when you roast it. People I’ve worked with who raised their own chickens have told me that buying poultry directly from the farmer is the way to go.
But I have through tomorrow to get the bird on sale at WF. If I get one, it will probably be today.
