Security guard is not sketchy. He and the two officers were busy with a unrelated issue in the hotel on the ground floor before the shooting started.

The shooter busted out the windows sending glass shattering near the valet area. The cops received the call of shots fired at the concert.

All three suspended the issue in the hotel and ran out to answer the call across the street ut the valets alerted them to the shooting from above who were on it because of the glass.

All three ran back in and to the elevators to go up only estimating what floor. The two officers ended up on the 31st and the guard end up on the 32nd. Remember, the elevators are at the center of the building. Each wing is about 250’ long and the room was at the end of the hall with its double doors facing down the hall.

I would imagine the cameras were the type that would alert to movement on the monitor so he knew as soon as the guard exited the elevator and was moving down the hallway. That is when he sprayed 200 rounds down the hallway through the door. By the grace of God, the guard only caught one in the leg.

By this time the officers had made it to the 32nd. The guard radioed to his dispatch identifying the location and that he was hit. It was just about then the shooting stopped.

If you can find it, this is the official as relayed by Randy Sutton, retired from the Metro and the most highly decorated officer ever from that department. He obtained it from his sources inside.
