I always go to U.S. Senator Patty Murray (D-WA) for all things gun related, she knows everything.

Why do they refuse to discuss the causal behavioral links between leftist actions in the media and particular cases of murder?

Auto weapon - 1 trigger pull = multiple shots
The slide-fire stock operative mechanism DOES ensure 1 trigger pull = 1 shot; it simply does that again and again, super fast.
Don’t know how they’ll square that circle.

Machine guns are NOT illegal!
You can buy one made before limitations were placed on their sale in the early 80s.
They are expensive collectors items and you have to pay a 200.00 tax and get an anal exam...but you can get one.
My grandpa bought a Thompson through the mail when he was young...I wish he had kept it but he got short of cash and sold it :-/
It was an expensive weapon at the time...I think he paid about 200.00 for it...or something like 3500.00 in today’s monopoly money.

Banning possession of Slide Fires legally purchased would be an unconstitutional ex post facto law.

The mensa wing of the DNC. She has no clue that very rapid aimed semi-auto fire would have killed many more than his spray and pray slide fire.

a bill to close a deadly loophole that allows semi-automatic weapons to be easily modified to fire at the rate of automatic weapons, which have been illegal for more than 30 years.Machine guns were never made illegal at the federal level. This shooter could legally have bought one if he wanted to spend in excess of $10 and invest many months going thru the process. Sen Murray as usual, doesn't know what she's talking about.

"The bill also contains exceptions for lawful possession of these devices by law enforcement and the government."WHAT? "Law enforcement and the government" are permitted to have all the fully automatic weapons that they might want right now. I can't imagine that any agent of "law enforcement and the government" would actually want one of these things.

Yeah Patty, getting rid of bump stocks will make it impossible for people without fully automatic weapons to shoot rapidly......opps well maybe not everyone.....well maybe....oh never mind we know your heart is in the right place, even if the laws you propose are stupid.

I may have missed it but I don’t recall another crime committed with a bump stock or similar device.
But, yeah, gotta end that rampant gun violence.

GOP, this can be your NFL moment if you sign on to ban ANYTHING gun related. We need to make this crystal clear. Ban even one item and we will primary Any and all republican encombents from now on. No negotiation whatsoever.
To: mdittmar
After looking at the videos of how a bump stock works, I am wondering if an extra-thick foam (or spring loaded) buttplate and some trigger finger control wouldn’t accomplish the same thing...
Try outlawing that.
