The House Homeland Security Committee passed legislation Wednesday that would provide $10 billion toward President Trump’s wall on the U.S.-Mexico border, a step toward possible consideration on the House floor.

The committee passed Wednesday afternoon in a party-line vote, after dismissing all Democratic amendments.

Recently, the Department of Homeland Security announced it has issued a waiver “to waive certain laws, regulations and other legal requirements to ensure the expeditious construction near Calexico, California” reports KVOA.

At this point the House is just running up as many show votes as they can to protect their seats. Not a terrible idea, but I would like to see them lose some rinos.

I gave up on them years ago. No longer a republican. Could never ever be one again. Can only be lied to so many times. And I think you nailed it. Agree.

$10 billion in 2018 could send wall construction off to the races - a massive project that would be going about as fast as realistically possible. It would be a boom town effect on suppliers and the local job market for construction workers.

Ballpark figures: $10 Billion would buy about a thousand miles, or half of the total from the Gulf of Mexico to the Pacific Ocean.

Two years like that would substantially BUILD THAT WALL!
