The Twitter universe exploded with plenty of hot takes after another white backup quarterback was signed before the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback, who infamously refused to stand for the anthem.
Dear @NFL,
Colin Kaepernick is a better quarterback than Brandon Weeden. We all know that. Let him play!
Sincerely, America

Brandon Weeden over Colin Kaepernick is booger over steak. Owners can kneel, loop arms all they want. Its bullshit spin PR. Nothing more.

Start a GoFundMe campaign to buy an NFL team, and run it with affirmative action principles.
Then, taste the TOTAL DEFEAT of the marketplace and loss of all your money.
Finally, get Elizabeth Warren to pass a law outlawing all other teams.
The NFL is racist! Boycott the NFL!
... who is manipulated by a racist media personality girlfriend?
The entire situation has become laughable and entertaining.
Consider first, that the NFL is essentially made up of 3 very disparate groups.
1) The owners, are the billionaire club. They have NOTHING in common with the players or the fans.
2) The players (at least 75%) are made up of African Americans, the vast majority of who, grew up in poverty from single parent (mom) homes, and have an “urban experience”.
3) The fanbase, who are mostly made up of middle class white people, that have a strong sense of being “red blooded American”, flag waving, “tough guys” (at least in their heads...)
I make no value judgement here, just describing the groups.
Well, they have nothing in common. Nothing at all really.
These 3 groups have enjoyed this symbiotic experience, but it is being exposed. I don’t think it ends well.
Weeden can be let go again when the starter returns.
A team that signs Kaepernick is probably stuck with him and his crowd killing attitude for life.
yes, it is common sense, something libs are not familiar with.
Yah,I assume that the *City* of Nashville is Rat...as is every other medium sized and large city in the country. But I assume that the Titans have the entire state of Tennessee as their fan base...*that's* what I was referring to.
This is what happens when politics infects football. It will turn into a complete, unwatchable mess before long.
2-year deal for 4 mil. Job of back-up quarterback is to practice, hold clip board during game, STFU and not be disruptive force.
It ends when a critical mass of the fans say "Eff This, I have other things to do!". The fans are the support for the whole house of cards. Enough of them leave, and the whole thing comes crashing down.
Thread last week said that CK donated $25,000 to a group honoring a cop killer.....
That sure would put him high on my next employee list-—NOT !!
I believe that the baseball term for this type of player is "a cancer in the clubhouse". He is a mediocre player, who had a very bad season last year; and, he wants a superstar salary. On top of that, he has the entire NFL in an uproar with people honestly talking about the end of the NFL.
And these people wonder why any (sane) person would hire him for their team. Really?
**Who wants to hire a disrespectful, troublemaking, quitter**
Quote of the Day!
Oh yeah if i were a failing team owner i would definitely want to hire an expensive headache.....let him play for the Dubai Goatherders....
