One class I had did something interesting. The exam was to write two essays in two hours. The trick was that there were eight possible questions which would be posted a day or two before the exam, of which two would be selected. You could write all eight essays before the exam, find out which two were picked and turn those in. You could just go in cold. Most outlined all eight, picked their major references, dug up appropriate quotes and finished two in the exam.
It’s an easy answer. My students know that if they fail to take a mandatory exam then they fail the exam. If they are found to be cheating or participating in some other form of academic dishonesty they fail the course on the spot. Doesn’t matter if it is in the first week or last week. Any school that backs the students on this should lose their accreditation.
Pretty soon, “college graduate” will mean, “next applicant”.

There are advantages to honesty, to Truth for its own sake, to benevolence and wisdom. Ascendant America has all of them.

We see the same thing on the ecclesiastical side - "Theological Studies" does not fulfill degree requirements of the Theology department of most schools . . . lot of "liturgists" running around with such degrees.
Berkley is a swamp seething with bottom feeders . Close U of C Berkley and turn it into an insane asylum for the brainless left .
They trained these liberal activists. They’re just horrified their creations are turning on them instead of the society they are supposed to tear down.
“Joining” college is like joining the military, not like purchasing a product (college degree, or college courses), even though one pays to go to college. You “join” college to serve the society as an educated person, just as you join the military to serve the society as a member of the armed forces. It is the responsibility of the college to turn its students into educated persons, just as it is the responsibility of the military to turn its personnel into a fighting force, and it is the responsibility of the students to ensure the mental discipline to become educated, just as it is the responsibility of the recruits to endure the discipline to become armed forces material.
