Plausible? Yes.

However, plausibility still has some basis in logic and reason, and there may not have been either of these factors in the somewhat skewed judgment of Stephen Paddock. I think it is much more likely that the Life is Beautiful thing was for scouting purposes or a dry run. The report, unsourced, says he tried to make reservations in a couple of places but couldn't get the specific rooms that he wanted.

This guy seems to have planned this over a long period of time. I think he had a specific target in mind, and the earlier concert was part of the planning.

But I believe the media will use this fact to distort his true motives as much as possible.
