Jimmy Kimmel on Vegas: Republicans ‘Should Be Praying for God to Forgive Them’

Late-night TV host Jimmy Kimmel opened his program Monday with a ten-minute political rant about Sunday’s mass murder in Las Vegas, saying “now is the time for political debate” about gun control. Dismissing as inadequate calls for prayers for the victims by President Donald Trump, House Speaker Paul Ryan, and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), the Jimmy Kimmel Live host said: “they should be praying for God to forgive them for letting the gun lobby run this country.”

Kimmel railed against lawmakers who “won’t do anything about this because the NRA has their balls in a money clip,” insisting that their “thoughts and your prayers are insufficient.”

The comic responded to those saying there was nothing that could have been done to stop Sunday’s attack. “I disagree with that intensely,” Kimmel said, “because of course there’s something we can do about it.”

Take the guns away from the security who guard the Kimmel show. Let big mouth lead by example. Who wants to lose good sleep time anyway watching that schmuck instead?

Kimmel is foolish to show his hand so soon after the tragedy.

As I see it the whole thing was a false flag operation with several objectives:

Kill and terrorize Christian white conservatives and Second Amendment people, and push forward the gun control agenda.

Kill and intimidate people culturally loathsome to hardcore liberals like this perp was.

Maybe kill infidels, if the guy was a muslim, which would surprise me not at all, as flaky as he was. He was definitely convert material.

58 people dead is a horrible thing, but pales in comparison to the 30,000 dead annually from gunshots in the US every year. But when you take out the five worst cities in America, Chicago, etc, that number drops dramatically. So dramatically, in fact, that the USA drops to the 4th lowest country in the world for gun deaths.

Also dramatically is the fact that these five cities that totally skew the statistics are completely controlled by the democrats. Every time democrats/liberals get control, people die.

It's the democrats who are at fault. They should be asking for forgiveness.

Right on target. He thinks he was personally responsible for the death of the last health care bill with his spouting off and now it’s gone to his head.

Showing your complete lack of theological understanding, to try to make political points with hyperbole.... every good Christian should always be asking for gods forgiveness, because unlike the arrogant godless left, who think they are perfect, the faithful understand that all men are failed and flawed creatures.

Unlike you Mr Kimmel who are perfect and know so much better than everyone else what is good for them.

What an a$$hat.

STOP....why the hell are you posting BS numbers?

Actual numbers are an order of magnitude lower.

According to the FBI, in 2012, there were 8,855 total firearm-related homicides in the US, with 6,371 of those attributed to handguns. 61% of all gun-related deaths in the U.S. are suicides

The more current numbers are not that different....leave it up to you to do the work, maybe it will linger in memory better.
