Late-night TV host Jimmy Kimmel opened his program Monday with a ten-minute political rant about Sunday’s mass murder in Las Vegas, saying “now is the time for political debate” about gun control. Dismissing as inadequate calls for prayers for the victims by President Donald Trump, House Speaker Paul Ryan, and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), the Jimmy Kimmel Live host said: “they should be praying for God to forgive them for letting the gun lobby run this country.”
Kimmel railed against lawmakers who “won’t do anything about this because the NRA has their balls in a money clip,” insisting that their “thoughts and your prayers are insufficient.”
The comic responded to those saying there was nothing that could have been done to stop Sunday’s attack. “I disagree with that intensely,” Kimmel said, “because of course there’s something we can do about it.”

I’ve never seen Jimmy Kimmel perform, but it sounds as though he’s in the same league as that boorish, unfunny jerk Steve Colbert.

Same with Steve Colbert. They both used to be sort of funny, unobjectionable guys. Given the power of late-night TV, they've become total tools of those who strive to destroy the US as we know it. They've been spewing nothing but hate since President Trump won the election. Perhaps they should look in the mirror to find a cause for the animosity that makes it impossible for people to talk to each other.

I am 66. Back in the 1950s and 1960s pretty much every home had at least one firearm. There were no mass shootings and no routine gun violence. There was respect, and morality, and honor.
Then, something happened to change everything.
That “something” was 1973. Because when a society not only legalizes the murder of the most innocent and defenseless among them but happily champions it, then that society has crossed the Rubicon and will tolerate any and all abominations.
When we killed those innocents, we killed the dream that was America.
God is not amused.
Kimmel is a puppet of the DNC. I wonder how many other Hollywood celebrities are being told what to say on talk shows, award shows, in interviews, or on social media.
