Authorities said the room was set up so that shots could be fired from either window to hit the crowd.

That certainly seems like one LARGE hotel room.

The shooter had a “corner” room where the exterior walls (and their windows) facied in different directions. It afforded him greater fields of fire to engage a larger number of targets.

They have all sorts of suites if one is willing to pay more. Also, if he really was some kind of high roller there he may have enjoyed comps and upgrades, too. When I have looked at large upscale hotels online for suites (considering family stays), there are often 3-6 levels of “suite” larger than a standard hotel room.
