Full title.....................Who is Stephen Paddock? Multimillionaire Las Vegas shooter, 64, was a hunting enthusiast, licensed pilot and gambler with no criminal record who owned a $400,000 home in Nevada retirement community........................The man suspected of opening fire at concertgoers attending a country music festival in Las Vegas on Sunday night was a local resident with no prior criminal convictions in the state of Nevada.

Stephen Paddock, 64, lived just 90 minutes outside Las Vegas in the city of Mesquite, where he purchased a home in a retirement community for just over $369,000 in 2015 according to public records.

He lived there with his 62-year-old girlfriend Marilou Danley, the same woman police announced they were seeking to question on Sunday night as they began their investigation into the horrific terror attack.

Paddock had both hunting and fishing licenses according to public records, as well as his pilot's license, but no criminal record in the state of Nevada.

The retired accountant had worked as an internal auditor at Lockheed Martin for three years in the late 1980s, and was a manager and investor in apartment complexes located in Mesquite, Texas and California which made him millions according to his brother.

“There was a rumor about a tumor
Nestled at the base of his brain.
He was sitting up there with his .36 magnum
Laughing wildly as he bagged ‘em.
Who are we to say the boy’s insane?”

"Yeah -- but this guy lived in Nevada and apparently had hunting and fishing licenses from Alaska. That sounds odd (to say the least) if he really didn't do any hunting."

Guys like John Wayne and Bing Crosby used to go hunting and/or fishing up in Washington, Alaska, and Canada. It's not unusual for people with money to do that even if they live in the Southwest or elsewhere.

Licenses in Alaska? Hmmm...have to have money for that & would think he’d be avid hunter, which his brother claims he didn’t hunt.
Something stinks.

So this 64 year old guy checks into the Mandalay Hotel on the Sept 28. Packs 10 long rifles up to the 32nd floor with thousands of rounds of ammo. How did he get all that up there without anybody noticing anything suspicious?

Yet he apparently made it to 64 with no known issues.

A $400,000 (post recession) country club home and two airplanes. As of 2015 he wasn't broke.

BTW, in an earlier thread someone claimed that his girlfriend was from Indonesia and a Muslim. Seems she is actually from the Philippines which suggests that there is about an 80% probability that she is Catholic vs a 6% probability that she's Muslim. The ISIS connection gets weaker and weaker.

I get that. I think former president Jimmy Carter holds a record for one of the largest muskies or northern pike hooked in one of the Canadian provinces (maybe Manitoba?).

I don't think it's unusual for someone to go hunting or fishing all over the place. I just thought it was strange for someone from Nevada to have Alaska licenses (and no others) even though his brother claims he doesn't hunt or fish at all.

Or, if he really wasn’t interested in those activities, perhaps he obtained those licenses unused in order to create widely and easily available public records suggesting he was one of us, a “clinger,” in anticipation of something like last night.

Charles Whitman (the University of Texas shooter) had a brain tumor and in his suicide/goodbye note asked that his brain be studied as he could sense something was wrong with him.

That was my exact question to my husband this morning, when first heard the breaking news. There are cameras everywhere in casinos! in the elevators, hotel hallways etc..
FBI, local police already have those videos, guaranteed.

At Trump rallies? You mean that fuzzy video making the rounds? Who confirmed that was him?

Now wondering if the shooter was even the “shooter.” Caught something in discussion (Hannity again) Authorities said the room was set up so that shots could be fired from either window to hit the crowd. I am not convinced there was only one shooter either.

The ammo would have only been 2 green metal tins if he had 2k rounds. The weapons he could have broken down and brought them up a couple of a time in a case or luggage.

Some riffle cases do not look like riffle cases.

Maybe he just snapped! Happens sometimes.

He seems to have really thought out his snapping!

You know how guys watch crime thrillers and think about how they could do better. Probably ran at about that level for him. Booking a hotel room and bringing a bunch of guns and ammo he already possessed doesn't seem like a lot of planning. And hitting hundreds of people after shooting thousands of rounds at a crowd of tens of thousands doesn't seem like such a feat.
