The Las Vegas shooter was identified as 64-year-old Stephen Paddock from Mesquite, Nevada.
50 dead in mass shooting at Country Western concert!
A gunman opened fire on the crowd of concertgoers at the Route 91 Harvest Music Festival next to the Mandalay Bay Casino in Las Vegas. At least 20 people are reported dead with 100 injured.
The sold out event with many of the biggest names in country music was in progress when shots were fired. Videos of the event show the concert in progress and then suddenly multiple gun shots from an automatic weapon being fired.

Even if it was not a gun free zone, no pistol would have reached his window. You would have needed something equal to what he had to have had any impact.

Also has LE in Vegas revealed the weapon yet. If this were your garden variety AR or Ruger mini I think we would have seen it immediately to raise the cries of gun control. My thinking, especially after hearing the bursts is that it was a clearly illegal AW. And from the sounds maybe a high capacity drum or a belt
They were sitting ducks, unarmed and no way to defend themselves.

Even if they were armed, in this circumstance, they didn’t even know where the shooter was so they couldn’t shoot back.
