um.. what is meticulous about renting a hotel room above a large open air concert venue and and shooting at the assembled 20,000+ people.
Heck, even a moron could get a his hands on a full auto conversion kit or 3d print one from a simple download off the net.

not to be a pain in the fanny, but this likely was meticulously planned.
The concert, I believe, had been sold out for months. This is why the victim list will include a wide geographic area. Moreover, this would have necessitated blocks of hotel rooms dedicated to these concertgoers very close to the venue.
I’m wondering how someone could have secured a room so close to the venue, under these circumstances, without a lot of planning ahead of time. Some stories suggest this scumbag was using two rooms, but we don’t know this yet.

you’re kidding, right? he had platforms set up, cameras set up so he could watch the hallways to see when police were coming. that room had to be rented for at least a few months because of the music festival that was happening.
