Since the NFL seemed to want to go full social justice warrior, theyve had a big backlash.
Theyve had fans booing, people burning their jerseys and giving up their tickets.
Ratings and ticket sales have also dropped.
Some businesses have said they will no longer show NFL games in their establishments.
But now comes this news which could put a severe dent in their operating budget.
Anheuser-Busch, one of the NFLs biggest sponsors, is considering whether to pull their sponsorship and is weighing public input.
I made the call
But I’m very skeptical that any number of calls will really matter. My personal opinion is that this is PR for them in order to tread water until this blows over and they figure that most of the people will lose interest.
It’s actually a fairly smart bet, considering that’s what usually happens.
Does anyone know if there is a website with a comprehensive list of NFL sponsors (advertisers).
Mea Culpa. I have not yet gone to NFL.com but thought there might be a 3rd party site.
This way I’ll know which products and services NOT to buy.
It’s ironic for a company that has forever draped itself in the flag, too (genuinely, I believe). Their marketing team has probably been in constant anxiety since Kaepernick’s first stunt.
So far, it seems the “blame Trump” argument has fallen flat and has no traction. He merely called out the obvious and is a good guy with more than half the country for bravely supporting our nation. Can you imagine Obastard as POTUS during this season’s accelreated disrespect? He’d be the lead social justice hater-in-chief rallying the “down with America” thugs.
My opinion is that Bud should keep their relationship with the NFL because this storm shall pass but ... I might be wrong.
Fluid, carbohydrate and painkiller all in one tasty swallow. Ideal old-guy athlete recovery drink! In moderation.
Any social media. Even if you make fake profiles on social media to voice displeasure where they can see and so can everyone else.
