From all we’ve seen, the caller is telling the truth.
I know someone who audits the books for a company that has an office in PR. He says it’s a joke and that everyone there is corrupt. He was supposed to be there Monday but his trip has obviously been postponed. One can only imagine how messed up the books will be after all the devastation.
In my military years, I worked around several Puerto Rican guys and they all talked of the corruption. I brought up retirment to one guy who was nearing 20 years and if he was going back there....he just laughed. He always said that it’d better to just let them convert to a republic.
My dad was stationed there in the mid-1950s, talking positive over the island in those days, and talked about baseball being almost all-year-round.
