I prefer to use the term “Northern European work ethic.

You will no doubt realize that I am Catholic and my immigrant German ancestors worked plenty hard.

Actually the ‘work ethic concept’ arose from the idea of equality and the abandonment of a class system. So I credit the descendants of England who first declared rights against the King in the Magna Carta. Hard work to better oneself evolved first as an English concept and later as a north European concept. That is where the north European connection came into being, and no doubt is why it is associated with being Protestant.

The whole concept of being successful is White Ideology. What is the point of working hard when the chief or the sultan is going to take it all from you or the State is going to give it all to you? In a capitalist society the protected-minority response is to lay back and watch TV. In the third world , especially the Islamic zone, it is to produce just enough to feed yourself and your family and not to attract the attention of the rulers. In the Islamic zone there is a belief in ambition to succeed but that all translates to Jihad and success is death while killing infidels.

Hard work does not guarantee success any more than careful defensive driving guarantees a safe trip. It does, however, improve the odds immeasurably. One of the most racist actions I can imagine is to teach minority children otherwise. The few hundred Klan left in America probably cheer at the idea that so many little black boys and girls in our country are being taught that hard work won’t matter.
