The Dems will block it with everything they got. McPain will denounce it, the bitch from Maine and Alaska will say they won’t support it.

The rest of the GOP will run away to their safe spaces................

Make the deductible and tax rates change with inflation to avoid bracket creep.

Where is the Bill. I want to read it!!Why wasn’t it brought out in regular order after the required public committee hearing. Why are we allowing government by oligarchy. Why do we elect people to go rubber stamp what 6 people craft in secret. I promise you this is not a good bill. It was written by K street for K street. I want my tax reduction. I want to know how much I get. I want the government to stop spending more that they get in. Have we lost our country to the oligarchs? This is not the way to legislate!!!!!

Doubling the mortgage interest deduction is fixing the code?
Is anyone in Washington serious?

Wall Street lobbyists are speed dialing their favorite congresscritters from both parties, telling them to sabotage this by any means necessary. But middle class wage earners and small businesses would benefit from Trump’s plan, as would the whole economy.

If DJT wants to enlist millennials and especially new college grads, they need to find a way for those new into the workforce to average their income. For that matter why not everyone. If they made nothing for 4 years and in school they should be able to average their new found wealth to get established and help pay off loans, buy cars, homes, ect.

10% —> 12% is NOT a cut, you retards.

Fewer brackets with higher steps between introduces more dysfunctional decision making. Fewer brackets is a YUGE mistake.

Fantastic! More people taken off the tax roles who will be happy to vote for more free stuff at the next election. This will create a whole new crop of democrats.

EVERYBODY should pay income tax so they have a stake in the game and see what they are getting for their hard labor. This proposal is just ridiculous and pandering of the lowest sort.

"It's clear from this plan that when it comes to tax reform, Republicans will always put the wealthy first,” said Massachusetts Rep. Richard Neal, the top Democrat on the tax-writing House Ways and Means Committee. “After more than a year of work …. this tax plan would give big tax cuts to the wealthiest Americans.”

Doo-Da, Doo-Da!

Tax reform = Pull the string for Democrats!

AAAAAAHHHHHHGGGGGG! Tax Cuts for the RICH! Republicans hate poor people! They want to throw granny off a cliff! What about the Children?!!!!!

More is needed:

- ditch the fascist "alternative minimum tax."
- kill the death (inheritance) tax for good.
- get rid of the "negative" ("earned" income credit) tax. No makee, no getee.
- Unlimited contribution deduction to medical savings accounts.
- Tag on Obamacare repeal

Today, we move one step closer to fixing our broken tax code,” House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., said. “This is our best opportunity in a generation to deliver real middle-class tax relief, create jobs here at home, and fuel unprecedented economic growth.”

The framework plan calls for increasing the standard deduction to $12,000 for individuals and $24,000 for families, which essentially doubles the amount of personal income that is tax-free.

Congressional Republicans describe the change as creating a larger “zero tax bracket.”
...
Truth: sounds good, Ryan, you traitor...folks, he only wrote it this way because he has assurance from McConnell that it won’t be passed at all...

Ryan needs a brass knuckle session or a Jimmy Rockford roll of nickels encounter.

I'm doubtful that the 'pubs can do anything that benefits anyone but their paymasters. If it's a clear tax cut for the wealthy but less certain for the middle class, it won't resonate.

Besides that, states have a bad habit of raising state taxes when federal tax becomes less of a burden. The real tax cut would've been to do health care reform that cut down on obscene profits by insurance, pharmaceutical, and caregiver entities.

Bottom line....it still is "repeal and replace" Obamacare with affordable health care not controlled by the government that will go the furthest to save the middle class. The 'pubs are probably incapable of doing "tax reform" that doesn't benefit wealthy people more than anyone else.

The problem will be the usual one: Everyone who loses something they want will scream loudly, while those who don’t care will remain silent. But...

Family of 4. Currently, get 12,600 standard deduction and $4050/person, so $28,800 is off the table. Under the new plan, they will get a standard deduction of $24,000, no personal exemption for parent or child. So an additional $4,800 will be taxed, and their taxes raised to 12%.

The framework published today doesn’t specify anything about the child tax credit, although it says it will be bigger.

Going to be a tough sell, I think.
