Hi. Moore is a principled conservative. He is not a professional politician and is not all about winning and those sorts of things. He focuses on issues and is a zealot in that regard. So he could help or hurt politicians depending on whether they align with his views or not. So he may not wheel and deal as others might and could be like a Rand Paul in that regard. We will see.
Excellent point.
I call them the Dallas CowARDS.
Gotta have Duck Dynasty.
OK. I’m claiming the first “call.” Now back to watching Mail Call on Military History Channel! The Martini was delicious!
“So he may not wheel and deal as others might and could be like a Rand Paul in that regard. We will see.”
I’m hoping for the best, and if nothing else we got rid of Corker (probably because of this primary)... so that’s good. I guess it’s just that Trump’s being attacked for picking the ‘wrong’ guy and now that the ‘right’ guy’s in it’ll be interesting to see how he votes. Hopefully he won’t disappoint.
Yeah, that's another takeaway.
If you are a deep-pocketed Republican, how likely are you to answer the phone the next time McConnell and Rove give you a call?
That was a shocking waste of money on a race that was really virtually unwinnable, especially when Mo Brooks endorsed Moore.
Trump’s support for Strange was tepid at best! IMHO, I think he did it to garner some support from that worthless McTurtle! He’ll learn, or has learned, that there’s a good way to pick up a (Mc)turd(le)! He’ll go full bore for Moore! And, stick it to McTurtle!
I don't think Roy Moore will hold anything against Trump. He will vote how he votes regardless of what others say/do. In fact I heard someone in Moore's campaign say a week ago they had no ill will towards Trump for supporting Luther.
So as I had said many times Trump was irrelevant to this election and it's no big deal that Trump was on the wrong side of this one. Trump has bigger fish to fry.
...that theres not a good way....
“Trump has bigger fish to fry.”
Enforce the immigration laws, pay our bills, secure the borders, cut taxes and spending, create environments that encourage job growth. — I don’t understand how any Republicans could fault the above. smh... I honestly had my eyes opened when Trump was elected and there’s not a lot of it that’s good.
The 30 million spent on this race finally made me realize that this is
how they control votes in DC.
Had Strange won, he would owe his vote to McConnell.
And it is true with pretty much all of them.
To heck with the citizens who voted them in.
Both Trump and McConnell will likely support Roy Moore against the dem Doug Jones in December. This was a great outcome. Moore is 70 years old and even though this is only a two-year term I suspect he will have little problem getting reelected once he is in and serving several terms.
Congratulations to Judge Roy Moore. In three months, SENATOR Moore.
President Trump will be good for Judge Moore, I’m sure.
Mitch McConnell, go suck a pickle. This is the beginning of your downfall. The people are going to speak and you have no choice but to listen. Suggest you heed our message.
YippeeYaiYay!!
Too cute.
Nice speech. Thanks for the link.
Why is the election in December and not November? I know it is an off year for national elections, but 6 weeks is plenty of time here.
I would not count on McConnell to support Moore. He might like to see Moore lose so he could say I told you so.
