The left politicize every damn thing and RUIN everything from sports to Disneyworld.
Can’t stand these vile assholes.
DJT did not start this he’s only commenting on what has been going on for over a year now. It started as CK stand with BLM and the Ferguson fallout.
They set up foundations allegedly doing public services. I am sure most are just tax scams.
It was thought MILLER was the company buying the ads. Come to find out it was MILLER who appeared to have lost his plugs for endorsing a car dealership (of course cars = fossil fuel) and to have done the ads would be just as hypocritical (cue AlGore) Break a leg
NONE....THAT’S THE HYPOCRISY...
Huge Dealership in other major cities besides Denver all over the State, so big deal
Phil Long is a gigantic dealership with several shops in Colorado Springs. The military is a BIG customer of theirs. They were quick to respond for good reason.
Hoping Beacon Plumbing in Seattle will drop what’s-his-face from their commercial and Alaska dropping Russell Wilson.
Thanks for that back-story. Makes sense.
NFL = Negro Felon’s League!
He is very oppressed and downtrodden.
Where shall we send donations?
Miller makes about $15 million a year. I think he'll be fine monetarily.
“This whole NFL protest thing has gotten so strange that:
1. I have no idea what it is even about”
They talk about how they as players have a platform so they have a responsibility to use that platform. But then, when asked about why they kneeled:
“You know, I’m not unpatriotic, its just a way to bring attention to what is going on in the country right now.”
I bet I heard four or five of these comments. After the first inane comment I replied calmly to my wife “It’s too bad he didn’t actually state some specifics, and what he thinks might be constructive ways to deal with them.”
The last guy I was ranting and yelling at the TV “So USE your frikkin’ PLATFORM and TELL us SOMETHING!!!”
I liked the way the Seahawks did it last year. Everyone stood and linked arms to show unity and community. Black, white, coaches, players, trainers, etc. They explained it like that too - a way of showing we are all in this together.
Player Doug Baldwin saw it as a “bridge” between each other. He started a foundation called Bridges of Community or something. Giving schools and cops money and opportunity (and Seahawk appearances) to get together and build bridges between the police and the kids. Predominantly minority schools I am guessing. This all started out I’m pretty sure from the various shootings of “innocent” blacks killed by the police.
I’m guessing that it has morphed into the antifa type thing now and is more political, even before Trump joined in.
Serves him right.
He forgot to honor his country for whom many fought and won him the freedom to stand and be a part of a football team.
Bye....
I wonder if they would protest being paid MINIMUM WAGE?
Just got off the phone with them. The coach “resects his players 1st amendment rights”? Really? They are a business, not the government. This violates their own rules of conduct during the anthem. They are to be on the field, standing at attention with their helmets at their side. To hell with John Elway or allowing this. We didn’t watch last year, now I’m calling sponsors.
