1. I have no idea what it is even about

Indeed, it has morphed and is quite unfocused. We all know it started with Kaepernick and one or two others following #BLM sloganeering about Ferguson/hands up don't shoot/and white america oppressing blacks etc... The NFL allowed this cancer to carry on, because the NFL, I now realize, are crony-capitalists who have conformed to our governing elites and mainstream media culture.

I was listening to players yesterday, and all I hear is vague slogans about "unity" and "fairness." Its simply become a protest about Trump - who has, ironically, laid out the bait and I am certain, expected their reaction.

They are protesting racial injustice, particularly in police trials that have not gone their way. That’s how I understand it.

Somehow, kneeling during the national anthem sends their message, but I sure can’t figure out how.

Since our national anthem is the Star Spangled Banner, they are protesting both it and the flag which it is about. They ignore that the flag and the flag code and even the anthem are the domain of the military.

So, they have chosen to publicly disrespect the flag and the military over some injustice they see in our country.

The kneeling thing was obtuse and actually is a common sign of servitude. The left destroyed Tim Tebow for it. Now the a-holes refuse to come out or walk out. F-them all. They are all not worthy of this country. They can try this sh*t somewhere else.

I believe this is a workplace issue not a freedom of speech issue. If you are I tried to do this at work we would be fired by our employer. The owners should have done the same thing.

Racial injustice based on what? Colin Kaepernek & his Muslim girlfriend’s support of Black Lives Matter! These insipid football players are backing a racist terrorist group that promotes the killing of INNOCENT police officers!

NFL shouldn’t shite where it eats!

They have to be perceived as not being a “sell out” to “their people”. It’s actually cowardice, nothing more than virtue signalling at the expense of being disrespectful to our military. They believe they can just say “no, we’re not being disrespectful, you need to understand....blah blah”. No, YOU need to understand, it IS disrespectful and you don’t get to dictate our perception.
