So when can we expect his announcement of his impending sex change operation and nomination for ESPN’s Courage” award.

We already know he has no b@lls and is completely di@kless.

He’s been riding on his dad’s coattails, and quite poorly, I might add! Glad he’s getting out! More harm to NASCAR than good! If I were a betting man, I’d bet he gets an earful of boos this coming weekend.

But Earnhardt -- hands down the most popular NASCAR driver of the last 10 years -- sees things differently ...

But Earnhardt, formerly the most popular NASCAR driver of the last 10 years, sees things differently. [I fixed it. My guess is that Earnhardt's popularity is about to take a whopping hit.]

Yes, we have the right to freely speak our mind. However, we are not free of the reaction. When the speech is based on distortions, exaggeration and false information, it should be confronted with strong disputation.

From the 2009-2012 Uniform Crime Report’s Supplemental Homicide Reports published annually by the federal government:

•a total of 56,259 homicide victims were reported in the U.S.
•Of the 56,259 homicides from 2009-2012, 1,491 were the result of police use of force. That’s 372 persons killed each year . This is less than the passenger capacity of a Boeing 777 airliner. Compare this to the following averages:

•189 persons killed each year in negligent accidents.
•280 persons killed each year in justifiable homicides by citizens acting in self-defense.
•13,223 persons killed each year in criminal homicides (murders & manslaughters).

Now for a real perspective, compare this to these additional averages:
•35,900 persons killed each year in the U.S. in motor vehicle accidents*
•38,364 persons commit suicide in the U.S. each year**
•373 persons are struck by lightning in the U.S. each year***

* National Safety Council, Itasca, IL, Injury Facts, (2012). http://www.nsc.org
** http://www.cdc.gov/violenceprevention/suicide/statistics/aag.html
*** http://www.usatoday.com/weather/resources/basics/wlightning.htm

The deaths from lightning strike equal the deaths from police use of force? Where is the uproar about lightning? Are we going to require protective clothing against lightning? No! The deaths from lightning when compared to the other deaths are considered insignificant.

Now get a grip on your slide rulers, FRiends, because here are the percentages:

As the U.S. population is 316,128,839 persons, here are annual percentages:
•0.012% of the U.S. population committed suicide last year.
•0.011% of the U.S. population died in a vehicle crash last year.
•0.004% of the U.S. population died in a criminal homicide last year.
•0.00012% of the U.S. population died from police use of force last year.
•0.00012% of the U.S. population was struck by lightning last year.
•0.00009% of the U.S. population was legally killed by a private citizen in self-defense last year.

Now comes the biggy. How many deaths of black men occur annually from police use of force? Drum roll . . .

Of the 56,259 homicides from 2009-2012, 19,000 (33.8%) were killings of black males:

Comparisons by types of homicides of black males:
•481 (2.5%) were the result of police use of force
•152 (0.8%) were the result of a negligent accident homicides (i.e., child playing with a gun)
•648 (3.4%) were the result of a justifiable homicides by private citizens acting in self-defense
•17,719 (93.3%) were criminal homicides (murders)

Then there is the case of justified homicides of black males by private citizens: From above, there were 648 deaths as the result of a justifiable homicides by private citizens acting in self-defense. That’s 167 more blacks than killed by police use of force.

Finally, while only 6% of the U.S. population is identified as black and male, 57.9% of the persons legally killed by a private citizen in self-defense were black males and, 73.1% of the black males legally killed by a citizen in self-defense between 2009-2012 were killed by a black citizen.

We need to take a hard look at the societal factors, black males are disproportionately involved in violent crime; especially against black citizens. This trashing the American Flag and the National Anthem is way out of perspective. It is total mindlessness and those involved should be taken aside and given the facts. If they persist, they should be fired.

I suspect there is a underlying agenda at work here. It is giving justification for trashing an American tradition and failing to look at the root causes of this violence. If you look at the Black Lives Matters organization, you will know they have an anti-America agenda. We need to pursue that case against them (and those in alliance with them) with the fullest extent of chalk talk (for those players living in the fantasy world of the Unicorn Farm).

Another dummy. NFL players are employees and are on the job when on that field. NFL has a right to tell them to stop if they want because nobody has a right to peacefully protest ON THEIR OWN TIME but not while at work.

Do these morons even get what freedom of speech?

This all started as a support for a LIE “hands up don’t shoot” and support for the anti police anti white group called BLM.

I guess good ole Dale doesn’t realize that.

It’s astounding how many people can not differentiate between
the Constitutionally enshrined Right to Freedom of Speech without gov’t restriction
and the restricted right to expression available when you are being employed by someone or some entity.

Employers set codes of conduct/attire/speech.
Behaviors that employers deem reflect poorly on the business are not allowed.

The reason these players can do this has nothing whatsoever to do with the 1stA
but is only happening because the employers are allowing it to happen.
