Donald Trump's Allies Join His Crusade Against The NFL

“Turn off the NFL,” reads a digital ad produced by the nonprofit America First Policies, which planned to begin spreading the message on social media Sunday afternoon.

A political group with close ties to President Donald Trump is amplifying his attack on professional athletes who kneel during the national anthem as a form of protest.

“Turn off the NFL,” reads a digital ad produced by the nonprofit America First Policies, which planned to begin spreading the message on social media Sunday afternoon.

The ad includes a photo with Trump, hand over his heart, and a #TakeAStandNotAKnee hashtag. It follows Trump’s recent remarks, first delivered during a Friday night speech in Alabama, aimed at football players who have protested police brutality and other causes.

While campaigning for Luther Strange, who is locked in a tough Republican primary to keep the Alabama Senate seat he was appointed to earlier this year, Trump asked those in the audience if they would "love to see one of these NFL owners, when somebody disrespects our flag, to say, 'get that son of a bitch off the field right now.'" He added that such players should be fired.

Trump continued the attack over the weekend on Twitter.

“If a player wants the privilege of making millions of dollars in the NFL, or other leagues, he or she should not be allowed to disrespect … our Great American Flag (or Country) and should stand for the National Anthem,” Trump posted in a series of tweets. "If not, YOU'RE FIRED. Find something else to do!”

NFL team owners and players reacted strongly and disapprovingly to Trump’s push.

I rooted for the Steelers for many years, but no longer for what they did on Sunday. These teams should remember where their salaries come from.

Rush just opened his show by saying he has turned off the NFL. It makes him sad but he had no other choice. Can't say I blame him.

They are a bunch of spoiled rich punks who have had everything handed to them and it's still not enough.

It is important to remember however where all this started. It started when ozero was elected and all he did was play the race card for eight years and continues to do so even after he and his party were thrown out of office.

Rush just said that NFL owners are scared to death. They ought to be....they've let this thing fester out of control.

The players will declare the owners racist when they can no longer afford to pay the outrageous salaries.

There is no way the NFL organization and owners can win.

We might have seen this coming back when the NFL would not allow Rush Limbaugh to become part owner of a team. This is the exact same thing. The country is split.

All of this began with Kaepernick, not the fans, or Trump. Kraft is an idiot if he thinks we are going to blame ourselves for his demise.

Goodell and the owners should have fired Kaepernick immediately and done their time in court. They would have paid, but the brand would have survived.

Now its a matter of time.

This whole pattern of claiming to be a victim

Then getting angry about being a victim and our anger is justified.

Then turning to physical violence based upon our justified anger.

Then looking for others to give in through appeasement to get rid of our anger and violence.....

Palestinians are using it against Israel... (Land for Peace)

Blacks have used it for affirmative action.. get rid of statues, cotton offends us...., “We are victims so we are justified!”

Hitler used it to get Nevil Chamberlain to think he had peace and Hitler ended up with Czechoslovakia

North Korea has used it to get $$$$$ for many years while working on the bomb...

Iran used it to get the $$$$ and deal with Obama...

Even our teenagers try to use it to convince us as parents that we “owe them.” (However for most of us, we curbed it early enough that it never became a problem.

Appeasement is the foreign policy of the Democrats.

Wilson’s appeasement during his first term set the stage for WWI in his second term.

FDR’s appeasement during his first and second term led to WWII in his Third term.

Truman’s appeasement during his first term led to the Korean War.

Johnson’s appeasement during his first term led to the Vietnam War.

Clinton’s appeasement during his two terms gave us 911 and the Iraq War.

Obama’s two terms has given us all the war zones now getting hot... Korea, Syria, Venezuela, ......

It should be obvious that the democrat foreign policy is appeasement which always leads to war.

It’s like bribing our children to discipline them and we end up with a knock down drag out with them as a teenager... Discipline when young and you have a healthy teenager and adult. The same is true in foreign policy.

This is not Trump’s crusade. Americans were abandoning the NFL before his speech/tweet. He joined it in progress. With the average cost for 2 to attend NFL games approaching $300, the NFL will lose this argument.

If the NFL thugs and owners don’t like the national law re respect to our flag and national anthem. They should get it changed, like those, who don’t like our immigration laws should do instead of breaking the laws.

Yes there are laws/rules re how to behave when our National Anthem is being played.

I sent an email letting them know I will never buy another NFL item (and gave my address so they knew how much I spent in just the last year). I also mentioned I’m calling and emailing my senators...asking why we are subsidizing NFL and it must stop. They must be overwhelmed because it took 15-20 minutes to type it out.
