The Ohio county I live in went into debt for something close to a billion dollars to keep a losing franchise in town. The lease requires the county to upgrade the facility constantly, exempts much ticket income from the county’s use and prohibits use of OUR stadium by anyone other than the loser football team.
We needed this fight a decade ago.

And as horrible as police brutality is, whether or not it's racially motivated, there's a much greater chance of being involved in a serious accident getting to and from the stadiums. Drive around Met Life Stadium just before or after a Jets or Giants game. Or Raymond James whenever the Bucs are in town. Perspective!

Interesting how the (full) article mentions Curry’s sponsor, Under Armour. UA should have stuck to just making innovative, high quality athletic gear rather than trying to take on Nike by paying tens of millions of dollars to the likes of Steph Curry.
