It wouldn’t fix everything, but if I had the chance, I’d hand the Pope a Bible with the strong suggestion that he read it.

The False Prophet usurps a standing Pope, and this is what you get.

A person is able, while he obeys a divine prohibition, to sin against God by that very act of obedience.

I wouldn’t worship such a capricious god.

The Pope is infallible on matters of doctrine or teaching the Catholic faith.

If he pronounces a political or personal opinion, he is not speaking as the head of the church.

This 'ART' was installed in the Vatican in the 1970's. It is nicknamed the 'throne of Lucifer'. The pope sits in front of this monstrous work, it makes me question the authority of the Catholic church. That is supposed to be Jesus in the center but the odd wind blown hair which makes no sense at all gives him a serpent like appearance.

Thanks for the document. Copy and pasted into Word document for study.

My favorite signer is the following.

Dr. Claude E. Newbury M.B., B.Ch., D.T.M&H., D.O.H., M.F.G.P., D.C.H., D.P.H., D.A., M. Med.
Former Director of Human Life International in Africa.

Sheesh. What is he trying to prove with all the initials?

Pope Francis has been given the chance to do the ethical, honorable and decent thing: fix his heresies and twisted conclusions.

The Catholic Church has liberalized the process of annulment. Annulment plus civil divorce assures a fair distribution of the marital assets, protects the vulnerable spouse, and protects the children. (I know this isn’t always the case.) This is not the best, as remaining married to each other would be better; but, it may be the best that can be done under the circumstances. Especially if we are talking about adultery, spousal abuse or abandonment.

The Catholic position differs from the eastern church, the Protestants, and the Jews, the details of which I cannot cover. But, here is what I can say: the Catholics take the promise of married until death much more seriously. This commitment is viewed as important to the happiness of the adults (as opposed to endless shopping around for a better spouse), and very important for the children and for society.

Allowing sacraments to those who are not married, but are merely cohabiting, is beyond outrageous! Not even the Protestants allow this. Co-habitation is terrible for women and the children who may be formed. Just thinking about this, makes me wonder what the cardinals and bishops are doing. There should be a revolt against this man.

The problem with people who are moral adulterers but civilly divorced and remarried can be handled one case at a time, and privately, by advising people to seek annulments. The truth is, these people have “jumped the gun,” and put the church into an awkward position. It could be that there was a hasty divorce, that the church cannot make right by an annulment. But, even if this is the case, the church has the power to forgive the sin that was involved.

Now we come to what I believe is the real agenda. It is homosexuality. This man is seeking to loose the Catholic Church from its long history of teaching on marriage in order to loose the Catholic Church from its long history of teaching on human sexuality. The Catholics are following the liberal Protestants into apostasy and heresy. They’re putting the narcissistic love of homosexuals ahead of the needs of children and of society for stable families.

There is no step ladder to God. The pope is just another human like many of us. He recons himself more valuable than he is.

Allowing for islam to be a valid religion is a no-go.

The revelation of the existence of this Filial Correction is nothing short of stunning, and should by all rights shake to the core the confidence of the faithful in the wisdom and judgment of this Pope when he is not acting with the grace of Papal Infallibility.

The actions of this Pope are completely unsurprising in light of his Leftism, and the typical disregard that Leftists have for tradition, the rule of law, or the norms of social structure. As committed Leftists in this country are concerned only with ends, ignoring the propriety of their means, this Pope has adopted as his own the goals of those who flout Church teachings on adultery and the sacraments of marriage and the Eucharist, and is ignoring the impassioned entreaties of all who would remind him of the one righteous path.

Many who know that I am an atheist might well be puzzled by my defense of the traditions of the Catholic Church. Truly, the history of the Church is mixed, and as human beings are fallible, many of those who have led the Church over the centuries have faltered in their calling. But in the end, the Church is a great and good entity, and to watch it being torn asunder by the same forces that are eating away at the foundations of Constitutional predominance in the United States is both alarming and distressing.

At this critical moment in history, as it is compelling to those of us in America who hold the Constitution dear to our hearts, it is every bit as imperative for all men and women of strong faith and traditional values within the Church to be unafraid of consequence and seize every opportunity to do the hard work of defending what they know to be good and true. These scholars are doing just that, and they should be recognized and admired for their courage.
