The danger from 3d World never was the missile. Smuggle the Pu in, (and maybe the tamper materiel) and assemble the rest from components available over the counter here.

The Abdul brothers park their car @ 51st and 5th in NYC, take out prayer rugs, say a few prayers facing Mecca, open the trunk, touch two wires together and no more NYC... and 15 days later, no more USA.

There’s life around Chernobyl, too. Some of it weirder than others, though. Look up the Red Forest.

Certainly that treaty was unfair, however the Germans might well have forced something similar on England and France had they won WWI. They had demanded 5 billion francs from the French after the Franco Prussian war. The point is that nobody understood the danger the Hitler really meant to Europe. He himself had said that no one among the Western allies could possibly imagine someone actually wanting another world war as he did.

I just read quite a bit about the Battle of France yesterday and when you look at the details it’s apparent that Germany was in a much weaker strategic position in 1940 than it seems given the rapid collapse of the French army. The German generals were adamantly opposed to invading Poland, and were considering a coup against Hitler when he demanded invasion plans for France, but they were uncertain that their troops would back them in such a move. There is a narrow margin between victory in disaster for the Germans, which their officers readily admitted after the fact. Had Britain and France acted earlier, World War II as we know it would’ve never happened. I cannot say what is the best course of action today with North Korea, but it does make one wonder if the situation will only worsen as time goes by.

Yes. See Amazon’s “people often buy this with that.”

..... Well .... My guess is that this manbaby doesn't have an unlimited supply of what he calls "Nukes." So my guess is .... if there were to be a "Preemptive" strike on NK it would be right after he detonates one of his ego boosters for the world to see.

.... Just Sayin' .....

"And the most humane way to do it is a preemptive Nuclear Counterforce Strike."

.... Well ....... NK isn't the only one with EMP capabilities ..... We could send them back into the dark ages with a couple of nicely timed EMP's. Heck .... Most of the country wouldn't even notice if it happened since most of the masses are technologically still in the dark ages.

.... Think outside of the box.

All that happens after the U.S. is wiped off the map? That’s hilarious!

A common mistake on FR for many years.

metmom :" EMP ? "

Probably so
However, as was pointed out in an earlier post, other nations have fired nuclear armed rockets ' within their own territories'.
North Korea is a small territory in terms of miles, and it does not have the capacity to test a nuclear armed rocket within its own borders,
much less to see the result of a 15 mt hydrogen bomb to determine if an EMP resulting from the detonation would conduct a total electronic/ electrical surge.

That’s if Krazy Kim hits someplace close with one of his tests.

“Little Boy/Fat Man”

Take Fat Boy out of that phrase, and what’s left is Little Man.

It seems like war with N.K. cannot be avoided.

I don’t say that because I wish it; only that it seems like it will be very difficult to avoid.

Pray without ceasing that the LORD God of Israel will perform a mighty work before the eyes of the nations, that the adversary be restrained, that our nation and our allies are spared, and that the captives of North Korea are liberated, and that the evil ones in North Korea are no more.

And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever. The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.

Exodus, Catholic chapter fourteen, Protestant verses thirteen to fourteen,
as authorized, but not authored, by King James

Granted this would be bad - but NK’s “highest level” response is a test?

If the fat rocket man is in New York, break with Diplomatic protocal and arrest him long enough for somebody sane to take over that country.

“4) I just imagine that we have a defense treaty with South Korea.‘

What we have is an armistice. We are still officially at war with the NORKS.
