I think claims of massive voter fraud have been massively exaggerated.

The author quotes numbers from the Heritage Foundation Voter Fraud data base, which shows more than 1,000 prosecutions.

What the author does not tell you is that data base goes back at least 17 years! That’s like 60 prosecutions per year.

Dig down another level and the “evidence” for massive voter fraud is even more bogus. Most of those 1,000 prosecutions were for two things - fraudulent voter registration (with no proof that actual votes were cast) and voter fraud in local elections.

There are thousands of Comments at Free Republic that claim Hillary Clinton received MILLIONS of fraudulent votes in the 2016 election.

That makes no sense to me.

Why would Donald Trump even seek the nomination if that were true?

How many times did Donald Trump speak about stopping voter fraud during the election? My guess: zero, or close to it.

There are 35 states with Republican governors and 34 states with dual house Republican legislatures.

Why would they allow massive voter fraud?

Or, if most voter fraud is concentrated in states like California and New York, why would illegal immigrants risk committing a felony since Democrats can easily win almost every election in those states without any illegal votes at all?

Bottom Line:

Democrats have enough LEGAL voters to win any national election they want to, as long as they get their core voters to the polls.

The only advantage Republicans have is that the percentage of white Conservatives who turn out to vote is higher than any other ethnic or political group.

Your reasoning that there isn't a significant amount of voter fraud is based on the small number of prosecutions. Never mind that you can't have prosecutions if you don't have enforcement, and you can't have enforcement if you don't have voter ID requirements.

FYI, 17 states don't have a voter ID requirement.

Your comment is naive. Apparently, given the time you spent thinking about it, I find that astonishing.

When you have a sitting president of the United States telling illegal aliens that voting make them citizens, why would they worry?

I think claims of massive voter fraud have been massively exaggerated.

There's massive election fraud. Millions of fraudulent registrations.

I don't know how many votes were cast using those registrations, AND NEITHER DO YOU.

The whole system is designed to hide fraud. It's not surprising there's so little fraud proven; it's amazing any can be proven at all.

The RATS will do whatever they can to win, laws and ethics be damned.

Are you counting upon restraint and self control from the RATs?

Good luck with that.

Silly Zee....

When I was looking right after the election (right before they switched the numbers because they’d overplayed their hand), I did a long analysis of Los Angeles County’s voting patterns. Based on Secretary of State’s office numbers and other demographic data.

1) From 2000 to 2012, election year over election year, their voter totals went up about 20,000 per year.
2) From 2000 to 2016, year over year, the population increased.
3) There was ONE major demographic change in California between 2012 and 2016. Two bills went into effect. The new motor voter law and the driver license for illegal aliens law. What this had the official call to do was to give an illegal a license, and then push their driver license information to a database to register them to vote. Then, because they were illegal, the DMV was to turn the info over to the Secretary of State’s office to remove from the voting rolls. What didn’t happen was that last phase. In a little read interview, the head of the state DMV stated that he would not be turning them over until at least after the 2018 election, as the SoS’s office wasn’t equipped to handle the records.
4) The voter totals from 2012 to 2016 increased (as the official reports stated as they were certified and I found the data in Feb. of 2017) by approximately 790,000. That’s a DRAMATIC increase. I have looked again recently, and somehow, the official numbers have changed. It’s scary.
