Hollywierd?

Have you ever seen a group of people who have so readily and eagerly habituated themselves to conformity?

There isn't an atom of doubt, censure or original thinking in that whole crowd.

It’s good to see the hollyweird and sports goons are getting some much deserved payback for their condescending smirks and rants. The hell with them.

The main problem with McCarthy is that he didn’t get to scrup out the bottom of the barrel.

I was finished with Hollywood. I didn’t need anymore encouragement but a brilliant original film that was La La Land loses best picture to a film about a black, down lo’ drug addict was the final nail!

Do you want to know why cord-cutting is gaining unstoppable momentum?

For the very same reason society abandoned newspapers. Newspapers turned themselves into propaganda tools of Liberal theology. The one-sided, bombastic editorials and the “news” content saturated with left-wing opinion.

Similarly, people are cutting the cord and abandoning the movies in an effort to escape, turn off, and now avoid the endless left-wing proselytizing.

When I was a kid I spit out watermelon seeds. As I grew up, I avoided pieces of watermelon with the most seeds in it, and then I was able to purchase watermelons without seeds. I now only buy watermelons without the seeds I once could only avoid.

Hollywood leftists and the left-wing media are watermelon seeds: first to be spit out of tedious necessity, then to be assiduously avoided, and now to be abandoned altogether.

They skipped the ratings dip for ESPN, probably the most dramatic in net subscribers lost.

The follow-up this summer, in release for a measly six weeks, scraped up less than $3.5 million in domestic receipts. Paramount tried to prop up the film with trailer endorsements from Bono, Randy Jackson, Pharrell Williams, Adam Levine and Shailene Woodley.

Now there's a line-up of intellectual powerhouses!

Would an NFL team go out of business if it sold less than 5000 tickets per game? How does that work? Would it be bailed out by the league or a governing body?

“Most of America had better things to do than watch a privileged cabal of left-wing, coastal one-percenters preening indulgently about their progressivism.”

This American did! ;) I honestly can’t remember the last time I watched any of those award shows. Probably when I was in High School in the mid-70’s. I’ve been a little busy since then, LOL!

I think “Portlandia” won something, which vindicates the Emmys somewhat. Somewhat.

Paramount tried to prop up the film with trailer endorsements from Bono, Randy Jackson, Pharrell Williams, Adam Levine and Shailene Woodley.

Bono - Aging Irish arena rocker propped up by the left for his comedy political stylings.

Randy Jackson - Isn't he the fat black guy from early American Idol?

Pharrell Williams - Some gay rapper guy, I think. "Happy?" Didn't he do that one?

Adam Levine - Some talent show dude that used to be in a boy band.

Shailene Woodley - Who?
