Trump will have an opportunity in October to decertify Iran's compliance with the deal, but the British-Iranian, Christiane Amanpour would apparently have her audience believe that Trump cannot do what he said, painting him as a liar or an impotent, not-thinking-straight leader. She'd be wrong about that, but she's apparently playing for effect, rather than to expose the facts.

Despite the tendentiousness of what she implies, what she technically says does have a smidgen of truth. If Trump doesn't recertify, all the benefits Iran has already received are not required to be returned. The only people that might have pretended that would be the case have long been drinking Obama's Kool-Aide. We've long suspected if not known Obama was just giving away the farm--largely in cash and nuclear OKIE-DOKIES--to ValJar & Christiane's mother country.

Yes, Trump "risks alienating" the other signatory nations, Britain, France, Germany, Russia, China and the United Nations, but so far only Amanpour seems to think Trump cannot do what he said.

If by saying "the Iran deal cannot be undone" Amanpour means we're not going to get back the pallets of cash we sent, she has a sloppy, biased way of attacking Trump to say it. But for the most part, Christiane is just wrong and misleading.

Nice summary of the facts. Thanks. I always take anything Amanpour says with a nanoparticle size ‘grain of salt’. I'm sure she sees herself as an ‘informed, educated, enlightened, woman of the world - beyond silly territorial boundaries’. I've run into these types too many times, and listened to their predictable criticisms of the US and US policy (meaning, anything that's actually in the US best interest). Few are as ignorant as the self-convinced.
